I am Ellie and I create whimsical and vibrant picture books both digitally and traditionally. Working in children's book literature for me has been a lifelong dream, It is what made me pursue art and it is something that has kept me inspired to this day.
I believe some of the most profound and touching stories can be told through this medium, with simple and clear messages that children can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
My art education started in high school, where I was accepted to a specialized fine art school in Sofia, Bulgaria. There I spend 5 years studying the principals of drawing, anatomy and painting, and eventually specialized in printmaking. Following my graduation I started studying my bachelors degree in traditional 2D Animation at USW Cardiff, UK

Working with the cartoony style of animation, pushed me even further into the path of children's book illustration. I wanted to create my own stories one day and while studying there, I started accepting my first commissioned work and eventually, the first book I ever illustrated "Rain, rain, come again" by Diane Elgin.

Since then I have been constantly working on my art skills and moving from one project to another.
