Rain, Rain, Come Again

Published in August 2020, by Diane Elgin

Diane Elgin's spin on the famous rhyme - Rain, rain, go away is a charming book about the love of rain and splashing and running under it. A story about a little girl, that is counting the days until a rainy cloud covers the sky, so she can go out and play in the puddles.

This is the first published title I ever worked on.

I will always be grateful to Diane for kick-starting my career and giving me a chance to illustrate her book.  It is to this day, one of my favorite projects that I've drawn.

Half of the book is set amidst heavy rain and that was a great opportunity for me to explore how to draw rain and water, in a simplistic and charming way. Diane gave me total control over how the characters should look like and It was very exciting to design the little girl and her mother, as well as the feel and look of the book.
